Privacy

Updated October 24, 2026. This policy describes Wander’s website, account service, and the information used by its Mac companion and iPhone app.

Your account and access

We use your email, account name, authentication information, and purchase and access records to sign you in and provide Wander. Google sign-in shares the account information you approve with our authentication provider, Supabase. Necessary sign-in cookies keep your website session working.

Activating Wander sends your Mac’s identifier and name to the account service. We store that information and activation timestamps to enforce the one-Mac license and let you release a Mac from your account page. The Mac companion remembers its sign-in tokens and license receipt in a file restricted to your Mac user account.

Payments

Stripe processes payments on its checkout page. Wander receives payment references, customer and purchase information, amounts, currency, and payment, refund or dispute status. Wander’s website does not receive your full card number or CVC.

On your iPhone

Maps and place searches use Apple’s mapping services. Driving routes can send the route’s start and destination coordinates to the public OSRM routing service. Developer-image downloads connect to GitHub. These services receive connection information such as your IP address and handle requests under their own policies.

Pairing information and app settings are kept on your devices. Apple sign-in for installation is separate from your Wander account and is not sent to Wander’s website. Signing with Apple also contacts a third-party anisette service, which supplies the device information Apple requires; your Apple password goes to Apple, not to that service or to Wander. If you enable the iPhone app’s optional automatic renewal, it stores your Apple account credentials in that iPhone’s device-only Keychain for signing with Apple. You can remove those saved credentials in the app’s renewal settings.

Service providers and support

Cloudflare hosts the website and processes requests and operational logs. Supabase provides authentication and account storage. Google/Gmail delivers sign-in emails and handles messages sent to our support inbox. We use the information you send support to respond to your request. Do not email passwords, verification codes, pairing files or card details.

We use account and operational information to provide the service, prevent abuse, investigate failures, and meet legal and accounting obligations. We may disclose information when legally required. We retain information as needed for those purposes, including records we are required to keep after an account is closed.

Your choices

You can sign out, release your linked Mac on the account page, and disable optional renewal on your iPhone. Contact getwandering@gmail.com to request access, correction or deletion of your account information. We may need to verify that you own the account. Legal, payment and security retention requirements may limit deletion.

For purchase and refund information, see our purchase policies.
